Diane Yetter photoIn general, sales tax should be collected based on the delivery address where the seller sends or delivers the goods. If the customer moves the goods to a subsequent location, then the customer has the obligation to remit any additional use tax that might be due. If however, your company is involved in the moving of the goods to the subsequent location or with the installation, a state could hold you responsible for the ultimate delivery location tax.
