Jeff is a Partner and Consulting Practice Leader for TaxConnex, LLC. With twenty two years of sales and use tax experience, Jeff has delivered sales and use tax solutions to companies across the United States in virtually every major industry. Jeff’s career began as an auditor with the North Carolina Department of Revenue and after four years he joined Ernst & Young LLP to establish and lead the Carolinas sales and use tax practice. After three years at E&Y and the successful establishment of the sales and use tax practice, Jeff joined General Electric where he led a team of fifteen sales and use tax professionals who provided sales and use tax advisory services to all of the primary GE US business units. Jeff re-entered the public accounting arena with KPMG LLP in 1998, serving as the Carolinas Sales and Use Tax Practice Leader before transferring to the Atlanta office to lead the area sales and use tax practice inclusive of Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi. In 2003, Jeff joined Tax Partners (subsequently purchased by Thomson Reuters) as Vice President of Client Services where he led the consulting and compliance practices for their sales and use tax business. Jeff is a graduate of North Carolina State University. He has been a speaker on sales and transaction tax matters at the IPT Symposium, the National Business Institute, and Telestrategies.
